The Story Behind SunWise Counseling
In 2007, a motorcycle accident completely changed my life. In a single moment, everything I knew about who I was and how I lived was taken away: my ability to walk, to care for and support myself, and my entire worldview. Life as I had known it was over, and I was faced with the task of rebuilding a life I could not have imagined. What I initially believed to be the end of my life became the beginning of a deeper awakening.

I read the book The Four Agreements before taking the workshop but I didn’t make a serious attempt to apply the agreements in my life. They seemed like good ideas but not something I would be able to do. Discussing each of them and hearing others share about their successes and difficulties working with them encouraged me to try implementing them in my daily life. Laura’s office is like Laura herself- soothing and non judgmental. Group members were kind, supportive and interesting. I’d definitely do it again and recommend it to anyone who wants to live with more ease. 2025
